I have a recurring nightmare where there is a man standing at the end of my bed wearing a trench coat and hat so I can't see his face.. So I close my eyes and tell myself theres no one there, then when I open them he's still there laughing at me..It brings me clean out of bed.. It brings me to a standing position and then all of a sudden he's not there anymore.. My sister thinks I am possesd.. My ex was into wicken..

Wow, that must be scary. You know, the more I read, the more I see that these kind of problems usually happen to people that are involved in "witchcraft" of some sort. Which, to me, makes everything all the more scary. Because, then that means that everything is real. I think I'd rather be deemed crazy for my "hallucinations". Who knows if they really are hallucinations. I hear voices or "thoughts" that are not my own. I believe that they are demons, or I'm just crazy. If they really are evil spirits taunting me, then that is more terrifying. I hope that the man isn't real, and that he'll go away. I hope that the problems will end and you can go on living better. I'm sorry for you...

I still remember when I "felt" someone kneel on my bed to get in with me (when I was living alone in an apartment in the City) and woke right up too like that!

Recurring nightmares I think are trying to tell us something about ourselves and relationship with the world. We are the person in our dreams; sounds like your "shadow" person. I dream of guys like him (I'm a girl) occasionally, just on the outskirts of the area I'm dreaming of; on the stair landing or looking through an open door from another room/area, etc. Creepy :-)

Maybe there's something about yourself you don't want to admit, some problem you don't "want" so refuse to see/accept?

Is there anything you specifically think about when you are falling asleep? maybe change your thoughts, or maybe just try to think of it as a fun dream, or at least not as a nightmare. I'm no sleep doctor, but maybe drink some hot tea thats always helps calm me down

I don't think you're possessed, everyone has nightmares. I have an ex that was into wicken and she never put a spell on me to harm me. My husband's mother's side of the family is also into santeria. I really don't think they could control my dreams or make me possessed. Wicken people usually put protection spells over themselves and the people they love. I don't know about evil spells, but I don't think they can control demons. These are religions, they are met to do good things and only to protect themselves from their enemies.

No face people in dreams suggest that you are still trying to find yourself or you want to understand someone else. Maybe you're trying to deny something about yourself that you know will always be there.
