The last few years I have randomly had some pretty horrible dreams. Usually I am pregnant and absolutely thrilled and then something happens and I have a miscarriage. I wake up bawling my eyes out and feelings terrible. Sometimes I will have a dream that I have a child that is healthy but I lose him in a crowd or he gets kidnapped.

Im not a mom and probably wont be for at least a few more years so I dont know where these dreams are coming from. Usually I am just in empty black space and I just start bleeding and lose the child. Its really scary and I dont know where they are coming from.

Are you sure you never had a miscarriage? Very early miscarriages can be mistaken for just a heavy period. Perhaps you are mourning the loss of your inner child? The child in you that was hurt perhaps?

Sounds like you're worried about your future? Aren't you graduating? Here you've been studying all this time, putting your eggs into an advanced basket. I believe dreams are usually to balance/show us opposite sides to our waking, conscious selves. If you are really confident of something, they will remind you of the "other" side so you'll "balance" out and not get too extreme in one direction. Doesn't mean that will happen but the possibility is always there and when we get too negative, will show up positive possibilities or that we are consistently too negative and same with positive; as the Arabian proverb says, "All sun makes a desert" :-)

Thanks, Pern. That makes a lot of sense.
