Latelly I have been having a weird dream. I dream about falling off a clif, or jumping off a building.I have no clue why these dreams keep occuring.
But i've got to addmit, I barley have any normal dreams. They're usually about something weird or something bad happening. Even in these dreams, falling or jumping off a building or cliff does not feel wrong at all to me. It acutally feels very exciting. And when I hit the ground, I cant feel it at all. It's like a roller coster, scared to get on it, but you take a shot and get on it anyway, and it turns out to be amazing.
Even though I would'nt do it in REAL life.
Does anyone have these kind of weird dreams?
Is this normal?
Do I need help? And is this somthing to worry about?
I would appricate your guys advice.

Falling/jumping dreams are common I think. There is no "normal" dream, you dream what you need to dream to keep your head/self as healthy and balanced as possible. "Descent" often means going from head down into to emotions or "body" so maybe you are experiencing sudden emotional/mood changes? Opposite could be true too; maybe you're staying too much in your head/imagination instead of being down in "real" life. Lots of people have flying dreams too (I never have). Maybe you're trying to learn to fly :-) Most flying dreams people describe as amazing.

I use to have really weird/upsetting dreams when I was in therapy the first time (in the 1970's and 80's) and realized that if I didn't have the difficult dreams at night, I wouldn't be able to function during the day, would have been too anxious, etc. When I had my most recent therapy, I worked with the dreams in therapy and they were extremely helpful to me, working on my issues, letting me know what needed working on.

Thanks Perna-I appricate the advise.
I have had a flying dream before and it was awesome.
It just feels like I want to JUMP off of everything, its weird and hard to explain.
But the other day I went to the lake, and I was looking over the edge, witch was HIGH and DANGEROUS, but it was like myhead was telling me to do it, but I was telling myself NOOO.
I'm scared of Lakes, and fish. Why would I want to jump in?
Is my mind telling me to commit suicide, or hurt myself?
