last thing i remember, waking up in my dream, then i dont know what happened in between but i remember walking
into what looked like a park but there was trash every where and little places for homeless people to sleep,
but they were all empty, except for one that i felt his presence even before i saw him coming, and i walked by and waved at the homeless man, who was a large black man with eyes that pointed in opposite directions.
i dont remember what he said to me, but he got up and started walking and talking to me, the closer he got the farther away i
tried to get, i remember trying to run but i couldnt. the next memory i have of the night mare is waking up in my boxers in
an all tile white room with 2 doors, i opened the one furthest away from me and found a girl naked and chained up to a wall,
i remember closing the door without helping her. I went back to the white room and there was a flat piece of sheet metal with
what looked like a sharp nail but larger right in the middle, and picked it up. The homeless man opened the other door, walked in and saw me, i pretended
that i didnt see him and he walked right by me, i felt fear, actual fear. He went into the room where the girl was, and i was frozen, i felt like i couldnt move like i was stuck standing with the sheet metal in my hand just waiting. i heard the girl yelling and crying, i started to move into the other room and the homeless man charged at me and i started to stab him in the face with the sheet metal, i stabbed him and kept ripping it out of his head, there was blood all over me
and the room was no longer white, it was covered in his blood. when i walked into the other room i found the girl and picked her up, her hair covered her face. I took her and left through the door that lead to the outside. when i got outside it was as if it were an apartment complex, i could see i was outdoors and walking above the 1st floor i dont know how high up we were, but every door i walked by started to shake and i heard people yelling and crying behind them. i was still trying to escape with the girl, when i passed by room 20(i remember the number specifically), i stopped and i heard a girl yelling my name crying out for help, i tried opening it but i couldnt it was locked. when i turned around to escape, the girl was gone. i was alone, covered in blood, cold, and scared. i felt all of these emotions and feelings as if they were real. i walked to the end of the hall way where i saw the stair well, the girl was standing at the door into the stair well and once again i tried running to her, but i couldnt, i saw a dark figure take her into the stair well and slam the door. thats when i woke up.
ive been having dreams like this for the past week, im starting to wonder what they mean. this is the first one i remember in detail, its like it actually happened, i feel like its an actual event that occured in my life. i remember all my feelings and emotions. and i remember exactly what the homeless man looked like. about 6"5, fat, he had dreads tied back in a small ponytail, his eyes pointed in opposite directions, he was wearing a flannel jacket, jeans that were all torn up and dirty, and when he was in the room with me he was wearing a butchers apron. can anyone help me figure out why im having these night mares? i dont think ive ever been so scared to fall asleep, its literally everytime i fall asleep, i have dreams like this. im gonna try and keep posting what i remember of my dreams, but this isnt the first one, its just the only one i remember thoroughly.

Hi, Getmeout, welcome to PsychCentral (PC).

Sounds like a really nasty dream where you're pretty helpless. My immediate thought when you were describing the homeless man at first was he seemed like a zombie to me. When you gave the actual description I was surprised he wasn't dressed in white :-)

Usually I follow the feelings in my dreams, see where they're like feelings in my real life. If symbols really stick out, like your room 20, I look and see what I would make of that in real life too (are you 20 or did/does something happen to you at that age?). I think the more real a dream feels, the more important it is to us, we're really trying to get ourselves to pay attention to something. You're afraid of the homeless man in your dream, maybe you are afraid of being homeless now? Girls are hidden behind doors and locked up away from you, I don't know what your association with that idea may be. I would just deconstruct the dream like a puzzle, see what sparks in your thinking. It's your dream, you thought it up for yourself; I would remind myself of that so I'm not afraid of the dream anymore, it's your psyche trying to help you.

the future ....fate...chance..the unknown is a powerful dark scary figure for you. the chained girl..is YOU somehow. your innocence, the part of you that feels so fragile, so in need of your protection. you dont want to face the unknown that threatens to forever remove your blissful ignorance. you try to stop it but its not enough. perhaps you dont need to kill it..perhaps whats appears at first a demon..isnt a demon at all. and you, can stand up to it all along.

ur dream really means a lot and wants to tell u something very serious...well i think so that some one needs your help. and 20 does mean a lot..may be at age or any hotel room number or something else...some one is trying to tell u what has happened or will happen..i think so may be its the past which u must know.
or it can also be an alarm for any upcoming problem. and as u have seen these much, i am sure that you will get the connection some or the other day...i m damn sure..me too had many such experiences.

I agree with the post given here. I would keep paper adn pen by the bed. Upon waking I would write as detailed a discrption as possible. It will help when reflecting on the meaning of the things that seem to "jump out" at you, from your dream, like the number 20. Do you have trouble waking from the dream? Does it play out and then you wake? Does the feeling build in intesity and that wakes you?
I have found that my dreams that feel like dreams are normally showing me how I am feeling about a current situation in my life....because I repress my feelings, out of habit and survival.
But the dreams that i have that feel REAL...are memories coming to front. The datails are hazey adn changed, some of the people I feel/know are one person, but they appear as someone else, etc. The core of those dreams show me events that have happened in my past.
I have also had a really bad reaction to Seroquel, it gave me frighteningly vivid rage filled dreams that i was unable to wake from. I had a talk with my Dr and they changed my medication.
Dreams are precious, they are the puzzle pieces to who we are and what we feel and see. Listen to yourself and you will find the answers....trust yourself.
