Im constantly having dreams about zombies and other horror things.

I dream of death all the time.
I understand that I object myself to horror quite regularly. After all,it is one of my favourite things in the world.

I love zombies but when I wake up,I'm in this surreal state of mind and terrified out of my wits.

I dont know what it means or how to stop it.

Maybe I should just accept it and start making horror films.

If you watch so much horror, it's gonna be reflected in your dreams. I had the exact same problem. It only stopped when I stopped watching horror movies all the time. What's more important, the movies or your peace of mind?

Funny you should make a thread about zombie dreams, I was in the middle of having one myself when you did! I just woke up LATE (5pm), I had a really long dream that everyone was turning into zombies, and my family were starting to turn into them and I could tell they were plotting some stuff. I tried to rally the still normal family members, my grandma wouldn't come with (I think that was a point about my grandma always being a silent victim to my family's crap), and I managed to get one of my cousins to come with me (I had spent ages in the past trying to stop my younger cousins from succumbing to things and falling into bed situations like the rest of my family).
I've had nightmares for over a decade now, sometimes because I was looking at things I shouldn't, other times they are just out of stress. I've had so many nightmares now that they don't actually SCARE me anymore, sometimes I'm disappointed when I wake up.

I would think the dreams have to do with your watching horror and "loving" zombies. Why do you like them? They're your dreams so any "message" is one you're trying to give yourself. I'd think they'd be good for symbolizing depression or not taking credit/responsibility for things (one's self not "being" there).

I dont find zombies of any relation to depression.

Sorry, but,Im a supposed "goth kid",or so Ive been called. I'll never give up horror.

Its not like I watch scary movies all day.
I dont have posters or pictures or anything.

Im not subjected to zombies as much as one would think I am.

Really,I live a normal,paranoid lifestyle.

I just have weird dreams more then other people do.

Like I said, they'd make some killer movie ideas.
My dreams are pretty demented. I guess that's what scares me.

It is kind of like a computer. What you get out of it is what you put into it ( or someone else puts into it).

So what if its about the emotion in the dreams. The symbolism. Where are these zombies what else is going on in your dream and how does that associate with what's happening in your life. You may not be afraid of the zombies in your dream but is your subconciens(sp?)trying to work through some fears using your dreams

Well, the zombies are a reoccuring thing, though the setting isnt.

So,I dont know about that.

It really doesnt relate to anything in my life. I dont understand it at all.

Sometimes it takes a long time to figure out the significance of dreams. Especially reoccuring themes. And then again some dreams mean nothing at all. On a side note if your dreams could make some pretty neat horror movies keep a dream journal. I wouldn't mind seeing a good horror flick( I love them too zombies included watched tokyo zombies recently. Totally hilarious) one that isn't a remake. Something new and creative.
