I have been sleep talking since I was a child and up until now it has never been a problem. Usually I only whisper or say things vaguely coherent, but lately I have been saying things loud enough to wake me up. The only time I ever did this before was when I was going through a rough patch at home. For the past few weeks I have been finding it difficult to sleep overall.. I am now lucky to get more than 4 hours sleep a day.. My question is, is my sleep talking getting worse because of my trouble sleeping or is the difficulty sleeping and the loud talking due to other, deeper, problems. I am actually quite depressed.

for some people it does get worse and is related to sleep problems for others it isnt.

we cant answer why this is happening to you, only you and your treatment providers can answer that. my suggestion contact them and let them know what is going on and they can do tests and things and answer why this is happening to you.
