During the school week when I have to get up at 5:30 every morning and be in bed by around 7/8 every night is when I have trouble falling asleep and the like. It's getting really annoying now, I slept fine everyday of the 5 day break I just had, and even last night (which was a surprise to me), and yet here it is just past 11:30 PM and sleep is not in sight (although I've already gotten a couple hours so I'm trying desperately not to panic about it). So really, why is it that when I should be the tiredest I can't sleep? I already get messed up dreams every few days, ones that I wish I could remember to figure out why I wake up feeling profoundly disturbed, but now it's just... Blargh.

Does anyone else know what I mean? It's like when I know I have to get up at a specific time it stresses me out so much that I just can't get to sleep, really I don't know, I'm starting to hate my brain.

Hi,
Our biological clock is set to go with waking in daylight and sleeping at night. 5.30 AM is a bit too early to have to get up, especially at winter time when it is still dark. Perhaps you could delay going to bed a bit later than 8.PM?
