I FEEL better when I sleep at night. I feel calm, and well rested, I think that's because at night I can get a full 10 hours without interruption or light bothering me. But.. I don't like it.. well I do but I don't WANT to sleep at night. I don't necessarily know why. I don't like sleeping during the day either, I hate that the most, but it feels more natural to me.. Maybe it's from over 2 years of being kept up by people, and now it's just normal.. But I don't know it just feels so wrong when I sleep at 9 or 10pm. Some days even if I am on a regular sleeping pattern I'll get an extra boost of energy at 10 and won't feel tired until 3 or 4am (then I'll stay up till 9am because I cannot sleep until then thanks to responsibilities).
How do I fix this? I hate feeling like crap all day because I got half the amount I need and I hate having to fix my pattern every other day.. |

I'd get on a regular schedule, "ignore" the boost of energy and try getting to sleep at the same time each night and getting up the same time each morning for a week and see if that doesn't become/feel more normal. One can't "fix" sleep, can't make it up or change one's pattern very quickly and shift workers who work nights and sleep days have much higher chances of major health problems caused by that, etc. Give a really good try to a regular schedule, like you would to another habit (at least a month) and see if how you feel about it changes too? I think it's like starting an exercise routine, at first it's really really hard and you don't like it, etc.
