Over the past week I've had this dream repeat... And I've never had the same dream twice before.

Well, the dream isn't exactly the same. I always get a text message, from someone I care about deeply but doesn't care about me. The words may change but it's still the same basic thing- that they care and are there for me.

The dream sounds good right? But then I wake up and check my phone, and there's no message, and I feel more alone than ever.

People do care, they just may not show it.

Perhaps some wiser part of your is trying to tell you that the source of your misery are your expectations?
