Over the past few weeks to a month, I have had dreams involving a friend which have led me to question my sexuality. In the first dream we were at a concert and she suddenly started kissing me on the lips. When I had the second dream, she was sleeping over. I dreamt that we were in the same place and positions when she said something loving and kissed me. This second dream, however, felt like reality. I wanted to ask her if it did indeed happen, but I figured it wasn't worth inserting that awkwardness into our friendship.

I am 16 and heterosexual for the most part. I never have any sexual fantasies about this friend.

It might not be so much about the sex/friend as about how you relate to yourself and how you need to learn to love yourself? Your friend could be a mirror you, especially if you don't have a sister to dream about. I believe we "are" every character in our dreams; they're our creations after all, our thinking them up. I wouldn't worry too much about your sexuality but I'd look at what you might be telling yourself about "you" and your relationship to yourself.

I saw a dream counselor a long time ago who said that "s*x dreams" were about connecting (not necessarily s*xual connection).

Maybe your dream was symbolic of something.
