Not all the time. But sometimes I can control what happens in dreams. I can change the course of the dream as if it was real life. Can anybody else do this?

Yes, I believe the term is "lucid dreaming", at least, that's what it means if you're aware that you're dreaming. Not sure about the control part.

But yeah, almost every dream I can control is some aspect. Most dreams I can make myself have telekinesis abilities (controlling objects) as well as being able to float or fly. If a dream gets really bad, I can often force myself to wake up before it goes very far. I find this very useful, and having control over my dreams has made it so much more enjoyable. It's like a new adventure every night!

Yes, I partly am aware at the fact that I am dreaming. However I am budhist so my response is not to interact with my dreams, just watch and learn not to be attatched to what is happening. (lucid dreaming) Or any emotions that may arise.
Dreaming gives us a unique time its what some people call a shadow zone.
I would be cautious trying to control what you dont understand!

A good read on the topic is Sleeping, Dreaming, And Dying an exploration of consciousness with The Dalai Lama edited and narrated by Francisco Varela Ph.D

Yep! I get this all the time. Its called Lucid dreaming. There are alot of good books and websites. I have a book by Stephen LaBerge that can be bought on Amazon.

The most common time to have these dreams is in the early hours of the morning, when you have woken briefly then go back to sleep. There are also several ways to induce lucind dreaming. Wild and Mild technique are the two I know of..If you google them you will have lots of useful info!

Happy dreaming
