I'm starting to wonder about my sleeping. Some may say it could be mania but I don't know. I can get really happy because I can spend time on the internet and stuff. There is more to this but I can't really think at the moment. I like to stay up and even if I try to sleep. I feel wide awake and I sometimes have worrying thoughts in my head. I can get happy for no reason. Anyway, I can't go to sleep about 10pm because I may wake up at 1am. So I just stay up until 1am and then sleep. I am thinking of reading a book before bedtime which makes me tired. I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't like living in a world full of pain and sadness. I hate having all this worries and heartache. I wish I could block them out. Anyway any advice is appreciated.

You may want to try listening to a relaxing CD, of nature sounds. Or, perhaps add a relaxing bit of word search puzzle in bed. Just something relaxing that you only do in bed. Reading a light book may help as well, as long as it's not too engrossing!

Those tips usually help me ~ best wishes to you!

I've actually heard that using electronic equipment, such as a computer, right before bedtime can actually be too stimulating. So, I make a point of not using the computer in bed before I sleep...a "paper" book knocks me right out.

I have a terrible habit of falling asleep on the couch around 10:00 p.m. and then getting up to go to bed at around 1 a.m. I usually end up waking around 4:30 or 5 a.m. when this happens and can't go back to sleep. So, I'm goint to really try not to watch t.v. lying down...let's hope a more upright position helps.
