For the past 5 months, I've been having trouble sleeping. Previously, in early 2011, I would oversleep (usually sleep for more than 10 hours). But now, it's going haywire? I realized that I'll fall asleep and wake up a while later, only to hear scary sounds (like people banging my door, calling/screaming my name, children laughing and what not). Also, I'd wake up from my sleep because it feels like there's loads of creepy crawlies on me. I also realized that I have been having sleep paralysis-like situations happening to me a lot. It's stressing me out, and sometimes, I'd sleepwalk and wake up in different places (that I don't remember walking to). I was wondering if anyone here has had similar symptoms as me. And wether or not I should get professional help. My mom's worried about me. She says that sometimes I'd walk to her room crying my eyes out for no reason (and I have no recollection whatsoever about this)
![]() I'm sorry for the 'rant' but it feels good to type this out. ![]() |

The sounds you mentioned hearing when you're waking up can be a state every human goes through when waking up. It's the transition from sleep to consciousness. It's not uncommon for people to hallucinate or hear things or even feel things that you realize later weren't there. The sleepwalking issue doesn't sound good. I'd talk to a doctor about it. It could be result of an issue on your mind that only your subconscious is aware of. Since it's a fairly recent development take action now because I personally wouldn't want to have that issue become worse(like waking up in the middle of a road). Doctors know what they're doing and maybe a therapist could help you too. Good luck.
