Since I started taking Paxil I have had consistent problems with intense nightmares and night sweats. After intense struggle, I force myself awake. I feel exhausted, tense, heavy-hearted, and my bedclothes and sheets are soaked with sweat...and I am FREEZING, shivering uncontrolably and unable to get out of the warm (but wet) bed unless it's straight into a hot shower to stop the shivering. My dreams are realistic nightmares in that they are traumatic and emotional events that could very well happen in every day life...usually with a theme of rejection, abandonment, or abuse that I can't escape.
