Two common themes in my dreams are disgusting bugs and travelling by water.
The other night I dreamed that there were these crispy bug eggs or podsonn the ends of my hair. I began to pull them out. Bugs fell onto my arms and were able to pass through my flesh without breaking it. Like by osmosis or something. They were coming in and out of my skin. There were other bugs crawling around on my skin. I wanted to get all the bugs out of me. There was one long black worm coming out of my chest. My mother began to pull it out and at its end was a huge black ball, and she pulled it out. There was a great big hole in my chest. |

Did that make you feel frightened?

I use to dream of cockroaches all the time and sometimes spiders; the cockroaches made me feel depressed/hopeless and the spiders frightened me; the cockroaches were associated with my messy apartment of the time (when I actually had cockroaches) and not being able to clean up and spiders seem to have to do with trying new things or being "brave" (my dx was anxiety-related).
Dreaming of water, water is supposed to represent the unconscious and emotions I think. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/0..._n_891682.html (water) http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/0..._n_891641.html (bugs)
