ever since i can remember I've had realistic, vivid, out of body and premonition dreams almost every night and majority of the time my dreams are quite frighting. and most people end up forgetting their dreams but with certain dreams i remember every detail even dreams i had 5 years ago i still remember every detail even the emotional and physical experience i had in the dreams. what does it all mean, what do i do with my dreams...what??? |

This likely means that you're highly connected to your subconscious, or that you're highly creative/in tune with the world (not that those necessarily mean the same thing but they go together well). Maybe there's something disturbing in your past? Honestly, who knows (except maybe a psychic if you follow that). But I share your vivid dream thing, though for me they're never scary even if they are.
If it's giving you a lot of issues, seek help. That's the best I can give you sweetie, sorry. Oh yeah, and welcome to PC! ![]()

I wrote my dreams down, used them in therapy as pieces of the puzzle. They're part of our lives, just like daydreams/fantasies. I'm still work on dreams I had 15-20 years ago and one special one I use to help guide my life.
I enjoy the symbolism of my dreams; Elton John once lent me his thick, white-framed glasses to match my cow outfit ![]()

A therapist asked about my dreams. I used to have nightmares. I started forcing myself to think of something else. My therapist suggested I learn from my nightmares. I told him I learned quite well I did not like them. Now I rarely remember dreams.

It is true that dreams can be linked to reality, but not always.
For example, I had a dream that this man could shift into my boyfriend and killed everyone that I loved, including, yes, my boyfriend. I knew that in reality, that my boyfriend is safe, and so are my loved ones. Here's an example of how a second dream was linked to my reality: I was sitting in chorus class in said dream, and it was a competition of some kind. We had to have our music. As a practical joke, some girls hid my folder. When I found it, my music was missing. I searched everywhere. When I told the Chorus Director, she apologized and told me that she had to kick me out of the competition as well as the class. Here's the reality: I live, breathe, and eat music, metaphorically speaking of course. Music has been my life and there's no other way I can explain that. Having been so wrapped up in work, as well as my relationship, I lost my "spiritual" touch to music. Of course, I sing along, but I just didn't feel it. That dream brought me back to realize that I still have that side of me. Don't be so afraid of your dreams, hun. Yes, some are good, some are bad. I remember every single dream that I have had in the past ten years (considering my childhood is a blur). It's not bad to remember said dreams, and if the dreams are linked to your reality, then think theoretically: "How does this link to my life right now or in the past?" That's the best I've got for you, hun. I hope it helps. ![]() |
