Okay so last night I had this dream where I woke up in the middle of the night because I had to go to the bathroom and usually the door to the bathroom is cracked open so I always stick my hand in first to turn on the light before opening the door all the way. Anyway I do this and see two black dog puppies sitting in the center of the floor staring back at me and I jump out of shock and close the door quickly to run and tell my mom and step dad that there's something in the bathroom. I open there bedroom door and my mom must have heard me get startled because she asks "What?" and she looks worried. So I say "I think I saw something in the bathroom." So I leave my parents door open so they can see out as I go to check again and they are still there, confirming I really did see two black dogs in my bathroom. But then they growl and pounce on me. My first reaction was to raise my arm up in defense and that's where the dogs bite me, one my forearm of my right arm. But to my horror it is now a two-headed dog! I panic but then I see my mom and step dad in the room still looking at me waiting for me to go into the bathroom like they can't see the two headed dog attacking me and that's when I realize I'm dreaming. So I seize the two headed dog by its body (it's still small like in puppy size) and walk over to the night stand in my parents bedroom and bash the hell out of the dog and then I wake up.

Okay other things you may need to know:
My reaction once I found out I was dreaming and decided to kill the dog was normal.
About 2-3 years ago I use to get these really bad nightmares where I was always getting chased. Either by a person or unknown thing and it would always attack me. I would try and run but it always keep up with me and eventually catch me and start attacking so I would have to fight back. But no matter how hard I battered the opposing thing it would just come back until I literally beat it to a bloody mess or woke up from the dream.

On top of that I've been a bit depressed lately (i don't know if that is of any help) and been going through some changes with my best friend. I read that if you see a black dog it represents like the shadow of your friend and their true self or something and that description fits perfectly to what I've been going through with my best friend for about two weeks now.

Can someone please try and tell me the rest of my dream meanings?

Someone please tell me if I'm getting -too- redundant here...but...

I. Hate. Dream. Dictionaries.

Most of the more...respected?...dream psychologist agree that everything in your dream relates to you. Even if on the surface you're dreaming of your friend, projection always fits into the subconscious equation. Always.

Okay, so let's look at the dog. Animals are a personification of the animalistic part of you, and typically include the gender persona opposite to what gender you identify with in your waking life (if you're female, it's male; and vice versa). I get the feeling that this attacking-predator theme is included, and it might have something to do with your APD. Maybe. Don't quote me on that, though.

Animals tend to lash out if they're not getting their need met. This is instincts at work. If you saw the puppy, then you turned away from it, it might be that part of you lashing out for attention that caused it to bite you. That's all splitting hairs, though. What I see as relevant here is still the two headed dog. Yes, on some level this might be about your friend, but I'd be willing to bet it's more about your relationship with said friend, and -your- role in that friendship. If this was a two headed domestic dog, then the image would typically be one of loyalty and friendship. That the dog has two heads tells me that it's not so much specifically about -you-, but more about how you and your friend work together.

You're showing an ability to work lucidly in your dreams, which is promising. I recommend perhaps trying to face your attacker head on, and looking for what is fueling it's rage. Odds are that it's something unmet within yourself.
