Has anyone else found that they are afraid to sleep? I have not been sleeping well for the last couple of week and I have been wondering why when it hit me.. I am actually afraid to fall asleep. It's because I am dreaming about all the bad stuff happening in my life right now and when I wake up I have to deal with all the bad stuff happening in my life and so I have made myself not sleep so I don't have to deal with the issues all day AND all night. I miss sleeping though..

Trying not to sleep is not really the answer to your problem of unpleasant dreams. Dreams are the spiritual vehicle the Lord uses to correct an individual’s way of thinking. If you are constantly dreaming of all the bad stuff in your life, it is simply an indication that you have an incorrect perspective or mental attitude about certain aspects of your life in your daytime thinking. If you could interpret some of those dreams, you might find them of help. You could try posting a few of these dreams so that their message becomes clearer and helpful to you.

Remember that not everyone is afraid to sleep because of their dreams. The dreams are an individual’s responsibility since they reflect one’s daytime thinking. By allowing the dreams to show you what is wrong with your way of thinking, you would sooner be able to enjoy a good night’s sleep. Avoiding sleep is simply counterproductive. I am sure you have heard the idea of “facing one’s fears”. Use the dreams to your advantage. They are your best guide.

Hope you will soon be sleeping well.
Thanks for this!

You have the power within to alter your dreams.
I imagine a large white screen in front of me.The
movie is about to begin. Once I have done that
I pick from my imagination, what appears on the screen.
Sometimes I fall asleep just with the white screen.

The trick is to keep coming back to the screen even
if your thoughts are constantly changing. This is just
a technique that I use. It may not work on everyone.
My Mom says she can't even imagine the white screen.

I think, with practice, anyone can do it.

Hope this helps....................sweet dreams
Thanks for this!
