So, a few days ago I had a dream that has yet to leave my mind, and the show I"m watching is just reminding me of it more and more. It was a very blunt dream, unlike how my dreams usually are, and I can remember what happened in it and what was said.

It was about sexuality (i.e. gay, straight, bi, that stuff). When I have dreams like this it's usually with a guy (I'm female btw), so I figure that's normal, but this time it was with a girl, and this is a girl I've been friends with for most of my life. I remember telling her that "I guess I'm Bi-sexual then." I woke up after that, but the dream hasn't left my mind.

I"ve always thought of myself as straight or not overly interested in relationships, but now with this dream I"m questioning it a lot more (questioned it in high school too, but stuck with straight).

So, could this dream really have been as blunt as it was, or could it have meant something else entirely different?

My heart keeps jumping when I watch the character in that show (she realizes she's a lesbian) and I just keep thinking about the dream, so I'm trying to figure it out.

I don't think I'd over-analyze it too much. Don't obsess about it. If you ever find you're attracted to a female, so what? It certainly isn't a crime. And there's nothing wrong with it -- and least not where I'm from. LOL

What you had was a dream. Personally, I don't attach a WHOLE lot of meaning to dreams, but you may want to consult a therapst about it. I'm not trained in interpreting dreams so I can't advise you on this. If you consider yourself straight, then that's what you are! If you think you might be bi-sexual, there's nothing wrong with that! Just don't worry about it. WhatEVER you are is A-OK. God bless and take care. Hugs, Lee

Don't worry...I have strange and I do mean strange, dreams as well. ...and I will still remember them for a few days. The dreams usually occur when I am ready to wake up...usually in the morning although some at nite. It could be about something you heard, saw etc....it sometimes means nothing...........Let it go and consider it another exciting, yet strange, movie of the brain....

Thinking of you;.

I think your questioning now and thinking and questioning in the dream sort of mirror each other. I don't think your dream was necessarily about sexual preference but more, with your friend, that you needed someone "like" you to express yourself to, like talking to yourself? Some dream interpreters believe we are everyone in our dream, since they are our dreams we are making up from our thoughts and feelings and issues. Having a best friend in my dream would just feel like I was more with "myself" and I would realize I needed to do the self-questioning you are doing (but not necessarily about sexual preference for yourself, maybe how you feel about others?).

Good answers here. Bamboo-red, how do you feel after reading these answers? Personally, though, I think you'd have a sweet time being bi. I love being bi.
