My dreams seem to provide some sort of therapeutic feedback. It's summer break from teaching, and I spend a lot of time sleeping. I tell myself I'm going to get up at the crack of dawn and get a lot of things done, go for walks, etc., but I sleep as long as I can...mainly because of the dreams.
When school starts in a couple of weeks, I won't have this luxury, so is it okay? I berate myself for being so "lazy."

I think it's okay but that may not mean much coming from someone who uses seep as escape and dreams as a substitute for a real life. I don't think you're being lazy by not getting up at the crack of dawn and staying busy til bedtime. It isn't as if you're doing something terrible or "sinful." Perhaps somewhere in your past an overzealous concept of laziness was instilled in your mind that causes guilt. Sorry if that sounds like psychobabble but... you did say the dreams are therapeutic so I'd say go with it
Thanks for this!

It isn't so much a "bad" thing, but if it starts to really effect your sleep cycle. I had this happen during a Christmas break one year in college. After two weeks of being miserable and only being able to fall asleep at 430 a.m. and then waking at like noon, I finally spent two days SOLID without sleep and then forced myself to get out of bed at 930 a.m. the following two mornings, just to reclaim my proper sleeping pattern. Not fun at all.

Using your dreams to gain therapeutic feedback is a very healthy use of dreaming and shouldn't be bashed at all...so long as that is what you're seeking. Feel free to post them here, too
