I had this dream that I was nursing a baby. I had just had it. I layed it down and I got over the top of it amd it latched on. I could feel alit of sensations from it. Mom my walked in and said "what are you doing?!" I said "breast feeding my baby." She asked me how it feels. I said "he's attached" meaning that the baby was attached to my nipple. She said she meant how I was feeling about being a mother. I told her that I was already attached emotionally as well as physically. I felt so close to this baby. Also, I believe me and baby were both naked. What in the world does this mean? as soon as my clock went off this morning, it was the first thing I thought about. Its been on my mind all morning

Wow, bamapsych, what an interesting dream; thanks for sharing it.

I once had a dream where I was nursing myself and my therapist said it had to do with my trying to nurture myself instead of needing it from others. I would think about what you might want and how "attached" you are to it.

I find the interchange between you and your mother interesting; as if you were not her child/she'd never nurtured you and had to ask how it felt but you thinking that, not her, she wanting to know how you felt, being a mother (to compare with how she'd felt with you?). Too, you had the baby "attached" rather than were nursing her, it "latched on", I was picturing a leech or something kind of grabbing you rather than you wanting and encouraging it to suckle.

I was wanting it to suckle. I felt the physical and emotional attachment. you made many good points and I had a few lightbulb moments. Thanks so much

Do you have a strong desire for another child. I used to have that dream alot. But I also wanted another child badly. I also had several miscarriages (early) and I would dream of nursing babies. But more than likely that was a biological thing where your body knew a baby was born and needed to be given nutrition.

I remember having this dream alot when I wanted another child badly. It's o.k. to nurse a baby wearing nothing. It encourages a stronger mother child bond. Babies need skin to skin contact.

As for being latched on. I nursed all 3 of my children. I know all to well about that and how painful being latched on incorrectly can be.

Im 25 yr old and single. Not in a relationship. Id like children but I dont ruminate over it or anything like that. I mentor a 9 yr old that sort of fills any void that I might have.

It might be the inner child within your psyche looking for attention. It might also be that you want to be able to express the ability to nurture someone/something that's more dependant than, say, a 9 yr old. The nudity is a reflection of the vulnerability you would typically find in the emotional and physical connection there.
