Hi everyone,

I have difficulty getting up in the mornings, and I sleep about 10-12 hours a day. I don't know how to make myself sleep less, and I've read online that sleeping too much can cause problems such as diabetes, weight gain etc. I don't want to add that to my health problems.

Do you have any suggestions how I could kickstart the day and be less tired? I hope it's not a problem, I've already asked this on another PC forum but there was no response. And also, does anyone have similar problems?

Hi I only have a similar problem when I can't sleep at all through the night then that's it when I know I should get up and even though set the alarm 3 times I same zone out in a sleep for hours. I am not sure how to stop this apart from literally at first thing drag myself out of bed when I first realize time to get up and either get in the shower or have hot drink and breakfast straight away to wake up. For me that works it's like unless I do something to make sure I stay awake once I first stir from my sleep in the morning then I will end up staying asleep throughout the day at those times when this occurs. However this may be no help to you and completely different reason as to why a similar thing occurs for you so therefore this may not be the answer to your problem. Hope you don't mind my reply and hope you get some better replies which may be able to help more, wishing you all the best
Thanks for this!
