I've done the same thing plenty, and it just isn't worth it. You feel better for a short while, but are putting yourself at such a risk.
Please don't take the pills. If you can't sleep, speak to a doctor who can help you.

These pill are my only time of peace. I'm going crazy without them right now. I have decided to stop them for a few days to see if they are helping... They really help!

Okay, you really need to involve your parents or some other adult you can trust with these issues. Getting addicted to pills is not the answer and will ultimately create more problems for you in the future. If you feel you cannot talk to your parents, then you need to find another adult you can trust to help you find resources in your community to help you.

Does anyone know if using Benadryl pills to aid in sleeping becomes habit forming?

I doubt it. At least not in a physiological sense I don't think. Psychologically, who knows. Probably like a lot of other things in the same vein as how placebos work. They believe it can, so it does, and then it becomes a crutch.
Bottom line is she really needs to involve an adult she trusts to get her proper help whether the underlying cause is physiological, psychological, whatever. |
