A week ago I had this dream and it's been gnawing at me a little bit. Tried getting it interpreted elsewhere, but they're taking their sweet time about getting back to me. Anyway, here's the dream. I received a video message on the computer from an ex-girlfriend. The way it played out,it almost felt like I was watching a home movie or something. She was wearing a red shirt, black pants and she had some kind of white cloth wrapped around her head with one long piece hanging down the side. She was talking to someone off camera at first. My sister came into my bedroom where I was watching this video to see what I was looking at. My ex laid back on some kind of small bed and her shirt was raised up. Another woman stepped into the shot and leaned over her, giving my ex her child to feed. The video goes on for a bit and I sensed a kind of unspoken sadness from my ex. I don't know why,but my first thought was that maybe it had something to do with her husband. The video ended and I got up from my desk, giving the chair a hard forward shove. I felt upset, mad, annoyed. I felt this way because I suspected my ex's husband might be treating her bad or something and I couldn't do anything about it. I stormed past my sister, who was still there in the room with me. She asked me what was going on;I replied that I didn't know, that it was hard to figure women sometimes. I said I was going to do something else and maybe watch the video again later for any clues I might have missed. As I said this, something - I didn't see what - stung me on the left hand. Whatever it was,it left a big white knot on the back of my hand between the middle and ring fingers. I hurried to the bathroom, turned on the cold water and stuck my hand under it. When I did,the knot on my hand swelled up and burst open. The front half of what looked to be a grasshopper was sticking out of the wound. This,of course, surprised me so much I couldn't think, pull it out,or anything.

Alas, it might be a bit before you hear from interpreters here, too. We only have one or two, from what I can determine, who are into interpreting.

Often times therapists are more interested in the patterns of dreams rather than one dream itself. So, in the meantime, you might see if any patterns show up along this same theme.

I don't know if it's a pattern, but this is the second dream I've had like this. The first occurred about a month before and in that dream my ex was on some TV program where she was going to make some kind of revelation. About what,I can not speculate but she looked pretty sad then, too. In that instance,I and my dream self could again only assume it might have something to do with her husband.
