Anyone else awake at this crazy hour? I keep trying sleepy time extra tea and it's not helping at all. Any other suggestions? I've tried tylenol pm and trazadone as well with no relief. I've been laying in bed for the past four hours. :-( I think the problem is due tomy recent state of depression, which will hopefully be knocked outby the lithium I just started. Iam beyond tired and frustrated.

Part of the circadian rhythm is a temperature component. Your body temperature should go up during the day and then cool down as it gets close to bedtime. If your body temperature doesn't go up high enough, it will interfere with the signal to go to sleep. A hot bath can help. It is more relaxing than a shower. It raises your body temperature and when you get out your temperature starts to go back down.
Also, the more dark the room where you sleep the better. Light on any part of your body interferes with melatonin. |

A glass of milk usually works for me, although it didn't the other night. Sometimes your body just won't cooperate.

My body does not cooperate. I finally fell asleep around 5, woke up about 3 times during the night, then rolled out of bed at noon. Oh, the wonders of evening classes and no job
