I was late for a group therapy session, went in at the quater way break, a person offered me a sat between her and someone else (she was the last person in the semicircle) only after a few minutes, whilst the therapist was talking, she whispered to me that she wanted to swap seats as she couldn't see properly. At that moment the therapists sidekick appeared and dragged the whisperer off into a side room which i could see into. she beat her silly and then stomped over to me and demanded 'what were you talikg about'. She towered over me and had her hand like it was a gun shape and pointed it right in my face. I stood up, my heart was thumping fast , grabbed her fingers and pulled them appart and twisted her arm until she was on her knees, i could feel the strength in my hands. I then said 'don't you talk to me like that' in a really confidedt indignant way. as i walked out i noticed the therapist had her mouth open in shock!
the wierd thing is i never usually dream about me walking as i have been wheelchair bound for over four years now! I am however known to stand up for what is right though only when really pushed. I do not attend therapy at all and have only once been in group therapy once before three or four years ago! it felt good to have the strength back in my hands too.

when i awoke i felt really proud that i stood up to the bully, but it took a while before the anger i felt to disperse. my hands were all tingly which was wierd as usually they just feel weak and hurting.

Interesting to me that your group therapy and your being wheelchair bound were of about the same time; I'd look back to that time, see what I could see. I was thinking you would say/do something about the bully beating the woman; the seeing-but-not-doing in the dream reminds me a bit of you being wheelchair bound and not able to help others/how you feel about others/the government not helping you (like you are being beaten/down trodden) and then she comes to you proper, and you stand up. It's kind of like your hands being all tingly when they are normally weak and hurting; lots of seeming "parallels" to me.

The dream show you are Just Standing Up for Yourself, in more ways than just one.
