The night before:

meds did not work. Did not sleep at all. Did sleep during the day.

This past night: the meds did not work. Did not sleep at all.

BUT NOW I CANNOT SLEEP DURING THE DAY, and I have a bad headache which is not a migraine. What do I do? I need to leave for a trip tomorrow. I need to leave at 9AM, drive for 2 hours, spend some time there, and drive back, alone. I am so much afraid of another sleepless night!

Should I try to be in bed at least or should I try going outside?

Can you take melotonin? My sister brought me some when she came out, and after it ran out, it amazed me how poorly I now sleep. I only took the 3mg, and it really did help (and I work shift work and NEVER sleep.)

I used to take Melatonin, but then it stopped working. A few medications stopped working on me as well - benzos, Trazodone...

... I am fine now and back to sleeping normally. I was able to figure out that the crisis was caused by extreme anxiety.

I normally take a combination of 30 mg Elavil and a small piece of cannabis chocolate.

For emergencies, I take Clozaril (Clozapine) Drug Information: Description, User Reviews, Drug Side Effects, Interactions - Prescribing Information at RxList 25 mg (it is a schizophrenia drug, but at the tiniest dose, it is a sleep medicine)

When in deep insomnia, a boatload of Benadryl and Melatonin will take me down. Definately empathize with the anxiety.

Hope tonight is sweet dreams.

Benadryl - yes, ANOTHER medication that stopped working. Forgot to include it.

But i will try your combo melatonin/benadryl. It might be synergistic - have not tried.
