I am certainly offended and a bit personally disgusted with it myself. I have told a couple of people some parts but not the whole thing.

I have a lot of really vivid...really whacked out dreams. I has been a long while since I have had a "good" dream, but they are super great when I do..often very fantasy-like..with unicorns and stuff. Alas, lately my dreams have been nothing but uncomfortable. I am currently in college working toward my degree, 23 year old female. I think I am generally happy in my current situation.

Last night I dreamed from 2 perspectives which I can't recall ever doing before, one of my own and one through the eyes of a friend of myne, we will call him "k".

I don't remember the whole dream, I meant to write it down but I was pretty bewildered when I woke up, so I didn't.

There was a giant green snake with huge sharp teeth, not venom teeth but flesh-tearing teeth. The snake was probably as long as 2 buses and as thick as a large log. The snake tried to eat me, so I fought with it and cut its head off.

Then I became K, and was in a dark ally. A woman walks up to me and she is a prostitute, she tries to forcefully proposition me, and I remember feeling very uncomfortable and refusing, feeling trapped.

I turn back into myself now, I am back with the snake, it is alive again and hungry. I feed the snake a live baby, the baby looks at me scared but it doesn't cry. The snake eats the baby. There is another baby, I order an older child, maybe 5 or 6, to rape the baby. The settings of the dream were black and red, ill defined and blurry. That is all I remember.

Any thoughts?

Thank you,

Effy

Effy, for me I don't take dreams as an interpretation of my current thoughts or feelings or life situation. I don't think they reflect much of anything. Some people think they are part of our minds thoughts that we are unaware about or something like that. I think they are just dreams. Mine are not like my real thoughts so I don't get down on myself for having them. The important part for me is that I don't dwell on them.

I have flying dreams a lot...there is no way I can or will ever stick out my arms and fly.

I know a lot of people may disagree with what I have said but take an easy on me--I'm just expressing my own thoughts and beliefs....D.

Hey buddy, thanks for steppin up and saying your bit. I agree, and disagree. Some dreams are just totally whack, and some are really upsetting. Some are too coincidental (atleast I have dreams like this on occasion) to pass off as, well..coincidental. Within all the ******** and craziness, there are always remnants of the day before, recent events and even things that occur in the future (thats always nuts..). Sometimes I just want to seperate anything useful from my brains nightly bubblegum-chewing.

Thank you for your input! I really do appreciate it and what you said really does have alot of validity, atleast from my perspective.

Dreams are all about Feelings. The big green snake is a part of yourself and how you behave to others. It eats new feelings (Babies). Are you consuming yourself? Are you keeping yourself from feeling and are you ashamed of feeling? Especaily sexual feelings?

"To see a snake or be bitten by one in your dream signifies hidden fears and worries that are threatening you. Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. Alternatively, the snake may be seen as phallic and thus symbolize temptation, dangerous and forbidden sexuality."

EffBee... IMHO maybe your dreams have some meaning, & maybe some parts of them don't! It's very hard to factually know exactly what they mean... But I think that if you have bad dreams for many nights, it might indicate that you're currently having some stress or bad emotions & feelings in your life, even if the outer conditions seem ok. Maybe you need to do some activities that usually make you feel calm & happy

Feeding the snake babies also represents escaping responsabilites as well. What responseabilites are you running from?

I believe that dreams are trying to call your attention to something in your unconscious. There is something about yourself that you don't acknowledge consciously. The dream seems very intense and disturbing, but that might mean that your dream self needs to try very hard to get your attention, by magnifying the intensity of what's going on.

It doesn't mean that you are abnormal or a bad person. You write that you are disgusted with yourself for having the dream, which indicates something about your relationship to this side of yourself. I have compassion for you, certainly, for the feeling of what it's like to have a side of yourself that feels repulsive. It's not surprising that the dream is so intense when you have such intense feelings about this side of yourself.

Mike
