A few days after my bipolar depressive episode started in early August, my sleep - - which had been about 8 hours interrupted - - became horrible. Waking up numerous time during the night and early morning and being very pi**ed off when I finally got out of bed for the day because of my crappy night's sleep.

Now, thanks to lunesta at bedtime, I wake up ONCE around 1:30 or 2:30 a.m. (after going to bed at 9:00 p.m.) and fall right back to sleep until 5:00 a.m. or so. 1/2 the time that's with an extra klonopin at 1:30 or 2:30. 1/2 the time I don't even need the extra klonopin.

What a world of difference having quality sleep makes. Hoping others with disrupted sleep can find a solution!

A good night's sleep can make all the difference. I do not function well with less than 8 hours a night. However, with the meds I'm on right now I have to get 10 hours to sleep it off. I just can't get it right.

Sleep is just as important as taking meds as perscribed by your doctor. I am happy for you that you are getting a good night's sleep. I am lucky if I get 4 hrs a night and that's with taking sleeping pills. Lucky you.

That's what I need! I'v had insomnia for the past 10 years! It usually takes me 4 to 6 hours to fall asleep. My doc gave me some trazodone once it was horrible. Even two tabs all it did was make me yawn all nite but no sleep and the next day I felt like I had a hang over!

Xanax will relax me some and it helps but I don't want to waste my supply for sleep cuz I need it during the day for anxiety attacks.

Is lunesta like ambien? I heard that was pretty good too.

I envy you! I would love to get a good nites sleep.
