I live in an apartment with a neighbor right across me. At around 1am a lady started pounding on my neighbors door, yelling her name. This woke me up, and I immediately panicked. I told my boyfriend we had to leave, and was thinking of going down the fire escape to get away from this maniac lady. I was scared she had a gun or would use force other than her voice. My boyfriend told me to lay down and go to sleep, what could we do?

Then the rest of the night my neighbor intermittently was screaming and moaning. In my imagination she was being tortured a la David Lynch movie. I hardly slept a wink. We are not friends so I can't ask her if she's ok. I have to work today and am gonna be so tired. This kind of thing hasn't happened before.

I talked to her today finally since 1) her door was unlocked and open and 2) all the lights were on in the apartment even though it was daytime. She was like, 'oh my gosh, I kept you up? I'm trying to figure out what happened last night! I woke up with my pants off. Something must've happened, since my friend took an hr cab ride home.'

She didn't seem that scared about everything.

WTF

She could have been drunk and also under the influence of various drugs.
