It seems to be that every time I try to fall asleep, it takes me hours; I lie there in my bed, fully conscious.
I tried Melatonin, which actually worked well for helping me fall asleep. But then, I had an early awakening, which left me exhausted; so I went back to bed and slept too much of the day off anyway, which defeated the point. I feel like it's not severe enough to warrant medication, but not mild enough as not to cause me sleeping troubles; I consistently end up staying awake during the night. I'm not sure how to go about it. |

For me I find that Sonota helps me fall asleep and Trazodone keeps me asleep. Also, if I wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep I take an additional Sonota and go right back to sleep! Sonota only stays in your system about 2-4 hours. Best of luck!!

Can you explain the reasons for it? Under stress? Can't shut your mind down? Ruminating? There are also several physical reasons for it (exercise too soon before bed, lights on or TV on when trying to sleep, eat.).
Make sure you establish a routine for sleep. Go to bed at a scheduled time. I will take a hot shower before bed. Rituals are relaxing. Do calming, relaxing things. Turn off TV and make sure your room is cool and dark. There are plenty others and hopefully others will list them Good luck! |
