It will take more than 3mos. to get over some thing like that. It will fade over time, a time period much longer than just 3mos.

The dream mirrors anxiety, that your present day feelings of anxiety. If it presisits and is very strong, I recommend Therapy to help you understand its core.

Still have dreams of my ex, but this time he is just "there". He doesn't say
or do anything. I let go last nite, we were fighting, and he called my autistic
son retarded. That wuz it for me. I never knew anyone to be so evil and
cruel. I pity him, he will be alone and miserable,,, as he should.

He will over time. Dreams are about feeling. Inside you are still feeling exactly the way you felt living with him. Look around to see if these feelings matching some thing going around you in present time real life.

Not really, all I keep seeing is him; we don't talk, or say anything,
idk, he is just there, strange. we actually hate each other. Soo, idk.

I too have recurring nightmares. They are always about a man I was with several years ago that emotionally and verbally abused me. He is an evil person. I wish he were dead, and that coming from me says a lot because I am a Christian. But he was truly the devil himself. I don't have problems falling asleep, but can't get back to sleep after having these nightmares. Also, some are real and some aren't. I have to ask my daughter if they really happened because I have blacked out a lot of that time from my memory. It's kinda scary how many really happened, actually.
I hate the fact that we have no control over our dreams.
