I had a dream last night and I'd like to hear your theories

I boarded a train to go home but I accidentally went north instead of south and when I realized I was going the wrong way I got off the train. I found that I had arrived in a city I had never been before and it was full of tall buildings. I was standing in the middle of a town square (I guess), the sky was orange, and all the buildings around me had been damaged by some kind of natural disaster. I could see where something had struck the walls of the buildings and demolished them because the interior was exposed, and repairs were in progress. Despite the major damage to all the buildings, people were walking around like nothing was wrong and the city seemed to be fully functional. I felt afraid while I was there, I felt like I was lost and would never make it home. I boarded the train going south and I woke up shortly after.

You went the wrong way to a place you are no longer part of. You in the past may have suffered damage. But now you have healed, and took the train South.
