I don't mind saying that sometimes I like to figure out my own dreams, but after reading dream moods for a while, searching google, I've found no solace and comfort at exactly what my brain was trying to tell me.

So from what I remember:

I was either in an arranged marriage, or I had asked a girl to marry me. I was told that she owned a dojo and I remember seeing the woman in a karate uniform as she was introduced to me or something. She is black, however I have never met this mystery woman. Now, this is odd, because I don't plan on getting married anytime soon. I've entertained the idea lately, including having a family, which is highly unusual seeing as how I've wanted neither, but I don't plan to do it anytime soon (I'm 25 at the moment.) I only specifically put in that the woman is black because I'm wondering if it's at all relevant. Never skimp out on the small details, I always say. So then I put on a ring which no longer fits on my hand I wear around my neck on her finger. The ring is odd because I've always told myself I would give the ring to a woman who is special to me, but why would I give it to a girl I don't know or am in an arranged marriage? I also remember that you can't read anything in a dream, but I swear I saw the number of the ring size as 7, and it's actually 9. Dunno if that's relevant at all? It goes on and, this is where it gets really weird, I have a shortness of breath, my vision fades, then it goes white, then I pass out. I then wake up and I'm in a hospital with the strange woman again, across the room from me, and she speaks to me saying the usual 'oh good you're awake you've been out for a while' kind of thing and I guess I spend some time in said hospital. I don't remember much else, but I remember spending some time with this woman and fainting again. I remember the experience being more like I was being poisoned or drugged rather than fainting.

Lemme tell ya when I woke up I have never been so thankful to be single! Hehe!

I did a bit of reading on dream moods and I'm just not comforted in what the meanings were. Anyone know what the hell was going on in my head? A few things to note is my family has never or ever will practice arranged marriage, I'm from the US, southern california to be precise, and I'm currently living with my dad up in Washington state. I think the one thing I know will explain why she is related to martial arts (apart from it's an obsession of mine) is because I had just finished watching Rurouni Kenshin (a fairly corny samurai anime.)

Any explanation would be nice, and I welcome a discussion where we can flesh out exactly what this means.

We can and do read in dreams. So discard the myth that you can't. This dream might tie in with your living with your father in Washington. Martial Arts is a way of protecting your self. The woman may represent where you want to go. She may represent escape from your current living situation. You may feel poisoned from the opportunity.
Thanks for this!

Dear Poster,
Sometimes dreams are just dreams with no need to autopsy them.

At 25 you maybe thinking about the next 5 years and how life will be. But now no need to rush marriage.
This ring is significant to you and one day you will find a woman who you love.
But marriage is a commitment! Will you want to marry and have a family for life?
Now I am assuming your parents live separately, as you stated you live with your dad.
How did your parents model marriage for you?
Maybe the dream is telling you be careful of who you commit yourself to, as the ring was the wrong size.

Have you ever been to the dentist even as a child and had sleeping gas or a surgical procedure ever where you were sedated ? Those memories may stay with you and may not be related to your dream but are transitional states of consciousness like we have sleep cycles, these are my interpretations, but only you can say.

I see no need to worry, have good nights and good dreams!
