I had a beautiful dream where i was riding this beutiful mare. She was a caramel brown with a thick white line, down her nose. We rode beautifully in time together, reigned by me and rode until i was outside a mansion, where my ex was waiting for me and they smiled. Just as i went to speak- i woke up.

Any ideas on what this means?

Hmmm, that "is" a nice dream. I wish you got to finish it where your ex smiled and you didn't say anything, instead you just turned away and rode on, free in rhythm with this lovely mare until you come across someone new where you "can" talk and can stay in a pleasant state of mind.

Here are some questions for you, niceguy: What happened when you and your ex parted from each other? How bitter was it? Have you had time to think again about what drove the two of you apart? Do you still believe that you and your ex were right for each other?

I'm asking these questions because if you and your ex weren't right for each other, and if you are reconciled to that, this dream would suggest that it is okay for each of you to move onward with your own life.

Traditionally, riding a horse represents control over animal instincts--especially the sexual kind.

Hi 'open eyes' all i have to say is lol- let's hope so

As for the questions Douglass, Firstly, appreciate the info.

It was bitter, it was excrutiating. I have had time to think and accepted the way things are now. I had repressed, a lot of sexual desires for them. I do however, finally feel i have made peace with- so to be honest, i think your right on the money!

I do however, deep down still believe we are meant to be, but, perhaps that is just wishful thinking at this point

The Horse is about a part of you that ride in life. Showing that you are in harmony with yourself. You are at ease within yourself. The "ex" is no longer an emotional thorn in your side. He got his own place now.

So based on "they have their own place now", it means they are happy. I do hope so. I hope they have all the love they ever wished for. Sure, i wished it was with me. Yet, i love them enough to want what is best for them. I hope that one day they will think back on me with fond memories- if i ever cross their mind again.

I have to believe that what is meant to be, will invariably be. The more i try and fight it, the harder it seems to be on me. People always want to know when you will get over someone. I really believe it is up to the individual, no matter how much it hurts. Once we accept it. We do eventually move on. (this 'yoda' moment, came from visiting this site, so thanks to everyone along this path

You mind now has put him in his own place. He not part of your life anymore. Remember, you are now riding free on that beautiful horse now! Also the mansion is your home in you as well. In some ways you came home to your self, on that horse. The "ex" also represents a part of you, yourself as well.

Guys, just for the funny ironic side of life. They reappeared in my life two days after the dream after all this time. Spooky, huh!
I think you are all correct, I made peace with myself and with them in my heart, the dream was me letting go, taking 'the reigns' in my own life, seeing the fruits of those efforts in the mansion and ultimately, knowing they would be o.k, if I did.
