Okay, to give a little background- I've always had...strange dreams; dreams where I'm being pursued, hounded by a "familiar" man, dreams where I die, or where I spend the entirety trying to not get assaulted; avoiding alligator pits, running around in mansions or communities housed inside one big building, where people or things turn into other people and things, you know the normal sort of strange dreams. But this one, actually won't get out of my head and since I've gotten insight here before, I was wondering if anyone could grant me it again.
All I can remember is that, myself and some people I don't know but feel like I'm amiable with enough are, again, inside this LARGE building that happens to have foliage and a night sky. We were inside of a house that was built more like a set, with two walls missing so there was direct access to the "outside", the house was quaint and filled with...I guess, some macramé and retro styled furniture- any way, as we're getting ready to go to sleep (in the living room area) each of us have our sheets (as in bed sheets), this man comes in and (I can't really remember how it happens in any detail) he steals my sheet and runs out the opening! I'm in shock, and (actually) very afraid. I just stand there and my mind decides to make police show up, everyone is grouchy about missing sleep and annoyed that I would make such a big deal. "It wasn't even her sheet." a woman says to one of the officers and soon enough I'm ignored as they try to find the man to stop this from happening again, but the return of my sheet is not even brought up. FYI it was certainly MY bed sheet, as in, very much the one I sleep with in the physical world. Sorry about the non-formal way this was presented, it seemed like it would make more sense if I put it as plainly as I could. Thank you all so much for reading.

The first thing I thought of was ghosts? All these things you are running from and trying not to be assaulted, etc., now your sheet is stolen. If this were my dream, I would be a little angry at myself that this had happened (instead of afraid) and would want to find the guy and get it back. I'd be a little embarrassed that I was not even willing to protect my sheet?
![]() ![]() Or, maybe it was your own disguise, you think you're a ghost but your sheet's been stolen and "You" are there with no excuse? Depending on your sense of humor and if it is warped like mine, perhaps you are thinking "Holy sheet!"? It could be a stand in for another word or symbol? (not to be confused with holey sheet :-) Any sense of, "you made your bed so now you have to lie in it. . . wait a minute, my sheet's been stolen!"?

Perna,
First of all... that was hilarious. Thank you. Secondly, I'm not a very angry person so I suppose that explains the different reactions. I have a history of being battered, so that also gets a bit more into my reactions and lack of pursuit. But honestly, I was dumbfounded the whole time. I felt out of place and afraid. I was never a ghost! I was a cat until I was too old to run around in a body suit anymore, lol. I suppose I should have given more info, I'm terrified of authority figures. TERRIFIED; I watch a lot of crime shows, so maybe that's why I invisioned the cops showing up? Lol, I don't even think there were beds in the dream. ARGH! What a terrible place! Thirdly- this should have been first, thank you very much for responding.
