I keep having sad, recurrent dreams where I come across a sick animal to care for. The animal changes each time. All of these animals seem to be beyond saving (a cat with cancer, a fish traumatized from its mother's death, etc.), although my dreams always end before I can know their final fate. These dreams are a bit upsetting.

Thoughts?

You are caring for parts of yourself that you feel has been traumatized. It is an active part of your own personal healing.

Thank you. Can you tell me more about how you came to that interpretation? The trauma and healing are not things that I have consciously thought about. How can I interpret my dreams further? What should I look at? Is the dream itself a part of the healing process, or is it providing me insight into what I need to do?

Remember this: Dreams are all about Feelings. Your mind is processing the days events and your feelings. So look at your feelings about your self, others, and your world. Look at how you perceive things. Look at what you are doing for yourself.
