After little over an hours sleep I was wide awake at 12.30am & couldn't drift bk off till 5am & have been up since 7am because I have 3 kids to get to school, even though i have been home all day (apart from school runs) I havent been able to catch up on any sleep, this happens most nights & days I can never sleep durin the day unless im ill....

If any one has any tips or things that help I would really appreciate it.
Thank you.

Have you considered asking a doctor to prescribe a sleep aid like ambien or lunesta (or whatever's available in your country)? I take trazadone, Xanax and saphris at bedtime and those in combination seem to help me have a decent night's sleep for the most part.
Thanks for this!

If weight isn't a problem, eating a bit of carb can help you fall asleep. A warm bath before bed can also help, apparently the the drop of body temperature from the warm water back to the cooler room temperature can induce sleepiness, saw this in a documentary.
Thanks for this!
