I had a dream I was in a big building that was three stories high. I was in the basement of that building when all the sudden water started flooding the building from a water main break that started inside, not outside. I quickly ran down a hall and up a flight of stairs to the main level, looked back once and saw the water had already flooded halfway up the first flight of stairs and was rising fast. I quickly bolted through the doors and ran down a long hallway. Halfway down, there were dividing doors and I closed them and barricaded them shut. While I did that I heard the sound of water rushing down the hall, once I finished I continued to run the rest of the way down towards the main lobby of the building where a lot of people were at. I ran through those doors and looked back in time to see the door I had just barricaded halfway back down the hall give away and a wall of water that was up to the ceiling came rushing towards me so I barricaded the doors seperating the lobby from the hallway as well just in time. After I did that, I ran around the lobby alerting people of the danger. But to my annoyance, worry, fear, and dismay, most of the people just ignored me or were totally oblivious to the danger just a few feet away from them and didn't seem to care or notice and a few who did listen told me it was not a big deal, meanwhile I looked back to see water leaking through the doors. The doors started creaking and were about to give away as well. I felt very helpless since I was not sure how to convice people of the danger and catastrophy that was unfolding. The dream ended right before the lobby was going to flood. Not sure what this dream would mean but it was quite weird and one of those dreams where you just feel helpless no matter how much you try to help others.

whenever I have dreams of floods it is because I am overwhelmed somehow. look at the language you use, danger and catastrophe coming. you are feeling a sense of impending doom. feel like you are drowning in either your emotions or tasks that you have to do in daily life. challenges you are facing. time to take a step back and give yourself a break and rest. take care.

Water in my dreams usually means something having to do with "emotions" to me so if your dream were mine, I would look at what feelings I am trying to avoid/barricade against? I think that the break was from the inside of your building (and buildings can stand for one's presence for me, i.e., you're a building instead of a person :-)
