Yeah ik its not possible, but thats the only way i can describe it.

i am always tired throughout the day, and there are frequent times in the day where I will be ready for a nice 3-6 hour nap then when I wake up, I'm still tired but i can't actually get to sleep.

It's important to establish a regular sleeping pattern. It's hard to do, but you will feel better. Naps are very bad for someone who can't sleep at night. You need to reset your circadian rhythm...your sleep/wake cycle. Look up resources online if you can.
