Since I was a very young child, I could always know I was dreaming. I sometimes could control the dream completely or simply on a nightmare (Ex: Shark swimming in my direction, I can imagine it is a dolphin and it will turn into one). I have learnt about lucid dreaming, but I would like to know if anyone manages to realise that they are dreaming too.
Thanks for this!

Yeah, not so much now that I am older but used to randomly realize I was dreaming and take control as a kid.

My T and I actually spoke about this. I had three recurring dreams (that I haven't had in a while now). Each time the dreams came, in two specifically, I would remember what happened last time and know it would fail and try a different escape route (which always failed). It's like I knew enough to know this "wasn't real" and could try a different method but I was never able to learn to wake myself up out of the dreams.

I have lucid dreams quite often. The trouble is though, that they scare me too much, most of the time, so rather than control or guide them, I place my efforts n getting out of the dream altogether,
