*** If there is a more suitable section for me to post this, please let me know and I will move it. ***

I haven't posted on the forums in a while, and I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help me with this, but I really don't have anywhere else to go. People think I'm nuts when I talk about things I see or what I believe, but I know there are others out there who see things in a similar fashion with similar beliefs, so here goes nothing.

I'm a New-Ager: meditation, sacred geometry, metaphysics, higher self/conscious. These are all things associated with my beliefs. Just a little background without getting too in depth.

So here's what I need help with:

The other night I was meditating, and as I approached a deep meditative state, everything went black and I was seeing a grid plane in the void of space. Sitting on this grid plane was a clear/transparent, featureless, genderless human shell (think about the universal "men's restroom" figurine; it was that, only 3D). The figure was sitting in the typical meditation style, which was exactly how I was actually sitting.

The vision zoomed in on the head of the figure, and I could see the brain. There was a frosted white shell protecting the brain. Suddenly the shell broke open like a Venus flytrap, revealing the brain. The brain hatched to reveal a seven-petaled lotus (I am unsure of the color) that was emitting white energy. This filled the shell of the figure until it was glowing brightly. The vision zoomed out to the figure again.

I was seeing the full figure again, this time incandescent like the energy that took up residence within it. Out of curiosity (still meditating) I lifted my left hand, and the figure followed suit. I made more motions and still the figure followed.

There wasn't much more to be said about the vision that was important. I came out of meditation feeling good, but strange. I felt in complete control of myself, of my brain, of my mind. My way of thinking has completely changed. I am not who I was two weeks ago. I feel as though I have transcended my human consciousness into a higher plane of consciousness.

If there is anyone who can help me, I will be most thankful.

congrats! i havent played in this world for a long time but from everything i gain from your post, it signals enlightenment. the lotus stands for enlightenment itself. the being obviously represents yourself, your spirit, thus it is generic, but following along with you would indicate it is you. then you split open at the crown chakra, your connection with the devine, and fill with light. so i think you have transcended your human consciousness and discovered the spiritual being that you truely are. great job.

you are most likely experiencing what doctors would call a manic episode, or you're building towards one. I'm not one to define spiritual experience and draw a line btwn revelation or enlightenment and insanity- but there is one, and I know I've crossed it before.

my first "episode" was set in motion with an acid trip. I had heavy cosmic visions during that trip. I agree with kaliope that you being represented as a generic symbol for man is telling. You were having an experience of yourself being part of, and maybe secondary to something that connects all. That's exactly the type of vision I had. It was real, and it changed me, I felt grounded, and on top of my game, and enlightened. and to tell you the truth- I will never forget that awesome sense of wonder mixed with understanding.

But, it did also lead into to my first manic episode. so just word to the wise, you might be walking the border, and if you have things you can do to reign yourself, maybe you can continue to build your life and spiritual path on the foundation of your spiritual attainments. I know that they don't come easy but a manic episode can raze that structure to the ground.

good luck
