Dead tired, but no matter what I do I just can't fall asleep. There are times where I'll be awake for a couple days straight, the longest's been 5.
Any tips on how to fall asleep? Anything?

Five days without sleep is really a serious medical problem. At that point, a person is at risk of becoming psychotic. I hope you will talk about this problem with a doctor . . . maybe get a sleep study done.
I've had sleep problems all my life, though not as serious as you are describing. I have gone, at most 2 nights without sleeping. I haven't found that anything, other than drugs, gets me to sleep when I am wakeful at night. None of the things that people typically suggest ever did me the least bit of good. What I will say is that taking a drug that helps you to have a more normal sleep pattern can dramatically improve your life. That was true for me. So I would urge you to see a doctor. |
