This was an incredibly weird dream to say the least. I was walking across the now non existent lower elementary play ground which was bustling with people of all ages (from little kids to teens). I didn't seem to go there and was just passing through. I then stopped to pull out a wedgie (which I would NEVER do in front of anyone in real life I might add) and continued to cut across the play ground. As I was walking, someone calls out my name. I turned my head and saw my crush just standing there. He appeared to be waiting for someone. I didn't stop waking though, so he ran to catch up to me. He looked at me and I looked at him (I guess we didn't think that this was awkward x'D). I told him that I was sorry if he seen me pull out my wedgie and he laughed and said it was alright. We began to chat away when he held out his arm. I gladly took it and we headed to the parking lot. We were smiling and laughing and having a good time (despite his arm being REALLY sweaty) when we came to this odd place on the other side of the school. I remember constantly having this feeling of his gf popping out of nowhere and seeing us like this, but he didn't seem bothered at all so I didn't ask. I seen a big red fluffy monster named Ohm (I have no idea what this means?). I had to mail a letter, which my mom happily helped me to mail. Soon after that, Steve came to pick me up. This is where it turns a tad bit sour. I don't remember what he said, but it was about his gf. I stopped, unhooked my arm from his, stared at him wide eyed, received a worried look from him, then turned on my heels and ran like a bat out of hell. I heard his loud footsteps on my tail so I took off my shoes and ran faster (apparently my shoes weren't made for running). I turned left and hid under a bean bag chair... only for the squishy chair to be lifted up by Steve. What in the world could any of this mean??

Dreams are all about our feelings. Steve in this dream is a part of you. Also the dream is about your feelings toward Steve. You connected with this part of you, tried to hide, only for him to find you again. The fluffy monster is also part of you, and your big fluffy red feelings you have toward Steve. Things are getting sweaty and steamy with you and him. The only way to go.

Thunder Bow, tell me if this matches your experience of dream interpretation and psychology:
It seems that people can have a mixup between an inner beloved part of themselves, and an outer crush. For you, Cherry Kitty, the masculine within, and the quality of his attention to you, is real. But you also have an outer masculine in your life, this crush. And his girlfriend can be a threat to take him away. So the "outer threat" can become confused with an "inner threat" as though the girlfriend were a threat to the masculine within. This dream seems hopeful as Steve ultimately does not abandon you. Thunder Bow, does this kind of mixup happen in your experience? |

To me dreams are all about our feelings. As it is true with this dream. This dream in particular deals mostly with feelings. Not much "Threat" here. Not really a mix up, but rather an association.
You insight is valid, and should be considered along with mine. No insight needs to replace the other. |

Let me begin by apologizing for length of post. I dream very detailed and in color. I am a sleepwalker. Most of my dreams are nightmares, not this one, really. Also, I have never had an alcohol or drug addiction.
Dream begins with me running an errand for my boss (I’m unemployed) to file for recovering a debt of $10,000. (A boss and 10k loss has shown up in previous dreams but different locations and circumstances). I’m driving to the courthouse to file. As I cross a bridge (which also has a rail road track), a child jumps up onto the bridge from the side and runs ahead as I slam on my brakes. I get out and talk to her, she is around 10. She is proud of herself and wants to do it again. I lecture her and physically block her from the bridge with the pickup truck I am driving. I skip forward and I am driving the truck in my home town (which doesn’t look like my real home town), then I am at the courthouse. I have a check for 10k and want to deposit it. (In a courthouse?!?) I can’t tear the perforation and I’m afraid I will damage the check, so the clerk helps me. I am then driving the truck through town which has cobblestone streets and a town circle. There are some rocks on top along the way that look like horse manure for decoration, as in depicting the past when there were only horses, no cars yet. I am surprised by the road and wonder when the town paved it with cobblestone. I reach the end of the road to turn around but brakes won't work. I'm terrified and dodging everything. Then they work. I park and someone hits the left front, damaging the head light and surrounding area. They get out and apologize and ask me to wait. So I wait on an open deck to a building. I overhear ppl talking about how they are waiting for a meeting for alcohol and drugs. They speak of their new found sobriety since they got out of jail and began meetings. The young man returns with about 7 checks, all signed, and the amounts left blank for repairing the truck. We go into a building where he runs the checks though a machine and gives me the receipts that verify the checks are good for 3 days. Back outside the wind blows them from my hand and scatters the checks. I and the young man pick them up as we chase them down. Then the phone wakes me up. Thanks for any help! |

(Karen Sue) Your dream seems to be a dream of Recovery. Yes, this is a dream of Recovery from start to finish. This is about Your Recovery.
