I'm sorry you're going through this Kori. I can understand how bad it would make you feel to have people you admire and care about stand by and not help you when you are in trouble. But keep the nightmare separate from waking reality. Your close friend didn't really abandon you-- that was something your mind created in a dream. In real life I am sure she would help you. This is only my opinion but I'm wondering if these nightmares are coming from some recent trauma that you don't feel you did enough to prevent? If that's so the people you admire in the nightmare could really be you. And remember sometimes bad things happen to us over which we have no control. I hope this helps some. I imagine others on this forum will have some other feedback for you. Just try not to be mad at someone because of something they did or did not do in a dream.

The dream may be repressed memories, and the people you admire, may have been one of your parents who looked on and did nothing. All this means you feel quite helpless in that situation.
