What does this dream mean?

I was in a resort type place, which had a little flowing(flow speed is medium) creek type water body along the compound wall. This compound wall outlines the creek. I remember swimming in the creek.Suddenly, out of nowhere, a friend of mine, starts to beat me up in the creek. After a while my grandma(alive) comes to my rescue, and my friend is on an elevated grass platform infront of me, where my flute case was suddenly, and he opens it to show the flute in it. Why I chose to ask is because, interestingly, I am learning to play the flute again, and I have only told three people in the whole world about this,my sister and two friends. And these three people don't include my parents.I also have a history of suicide, which my parents don't know about.
I currently have depression and serious cognitive issues, due to which I have flunked 8 exams in my 3 of 4 years of my Bachelor engineering degree life. Nor am I good at anything else. I have chosen to play the flute, because I've heard that playing musical instruments helps in concentration, and because its the only working instrument I have now, that I brought with me from the US to India, in mid 2006.

IMO you are concerned that someone or something will disrupt your seeking the peace and help that playing the flute again will bring you. It appears that your grandmother has been a champion for you in the past, and maybe already does know about your depressive episodes or that you trust her to know at some point.

Is the friend that beat you up one of the two that know IRL? Perhaps that person doesn't share your idea of the path you have chosen, and wants to prove that it's wrong by telling everyone, including your grandmother? (by opening the case to show) This is a friend that doesn't fully support you.
