Basically, it was a dream that I had that involved something going wrong re: the elections, and me discussing Storm of the Century with some Livejournal friends that...I can't say I talk to as much lately. (And I should, I really should) Also discussing an old Knights of the Old Republic fan film trilogy (I wonder why Storm of the Century and Knights of the Old Republic seem to be recurring themes in my dreams?) that I loved as a teenager, mostly the conclusion of the third one that was kind of bittersweet at best. And then Hogwarts also made an appearance. And Dr. Bumby from American McGee's Alice. So yeah...weird dream.

I think so, yeah. I remember discovering Storm of the Century back when, emotionally, I was in a pretty cynical place and didn't feel good about people in general. Maybe that was another reason I identified with it so much -- I kind of had feelings along the lines of what it's like when you discover someone else's skeleton in the closet. And I also remember being...simultaneously revolted and pitying the townsfolk who had those secrets. KOTOR is kind of my own metaphor for putting together what might have happened. Hogwarts was something I was about to get back into when the flashes started (which makes me wonder if there's some degree of conflation going on, but I don't know why it would happen. I wouldn't want something like this to happen), and Dr. Bumby...well, he's a creep who actually played a pretty big part in the events of American McGee's Alice even though we never saw him. So I guess this is a giant metaphor for how exactly I got here.

So it's kind of a reflection dream? That's pretty cool.
