I had a dream last night that my family was all eating dinner but they were eating people as well. They weren't acting weird about it, it just seemed normal to them to have a roasted person in the middle of the table among the pork, and other stuff. They were pressuring me to have some and obviously I didn't want it and they didn't understand why and eventually, annoyed, were like "fine if you don't want to eat you can leave." and at this point I remembering wanting to go to the chinese restaurant so I could just get some chicken or something. I was running away barefoot for a while when eventually I heard my family running after me shouting. But I wasn't scared now because I knew they weren't running after me because they were mad but because they felt bad.
Anyway I have been having trouble finding any dream analyses that involved watching someone else commit cannibalistic acts as most focus on whether the dreamer is either the cannibal or the victim. I'm trying to figure out what this could mean as I've been having a lot of anxiety recently since I've returned as a sophomore to college this year. Lately, it's been fading as the day goes on and I feel okay in the evening generally but I feel like I wake up in a panic in the morning and feel on the low-verge of tears most days. I've never ever been the type to get homesick in my life so I'm not sure if it's that or just feeling a lot of pressure from the amount of loans I've taken out and regretting that decision. There's a part of me that feels trapped by the decision and jealous of a friend who commutes at home to a state school and will have no debt at all. And I suppose I feel like I'm almost betraying myself by even flirting with this idea because I've always felt so much pressure on myself to "do great things" which could involve being at a top private school. Anyway, I don't know if any of this ties in but those have been my concerns as of late which could tie in. Any insight would be appreciated! |

You probably feel you been roasting yourself with all that is going with you right now. You are trying to take an easy on yourself. The family represents the feelings you had towards yourself. Feeling bad about roasting yourself.

Hi Christina!
What a very interesting dream. I have a number of questions for you about your dream. If you answer them, as best you can recall, I will happily give you an interpretation of your dream as if it was mine. Scenes: 1. How many scenes were there in this dream? It sounds like two (inside a room and running away) but I want you to tell me exactly how many scenes there were. FOR EACH SCENE, I want you go back in your mind to your dream and act as an observer. Then I want you to tell me as much as you can recall about the scene answering each of the questions below. Don’t worry if you can’t recall. Simply do your best. Location: 1. I want you to look around you in each scene and tell me what you see: a. In front of you b. To the left of you c. To the right of you d. Above you e. Behind you 2. For indoor scenes: Tell me about the room you were in. Things I am “fishing” for include: a. The size of the room b. What the room was made of, e.g. wood, metal, etc. c. Are there any doors or windows? If so, tell me where the door or window was relative to you the dreamer, i.e. left, right, in front, behind, etc. d. Was there any colour in the room? If so, tell me what the colour(s) were and where they were relative to you, i.e. left, right, in front, behind, etc. e. Were there any stairs? If so, tell me where they were relative to you the dreamer, what they were made of and if they were going up or down. 3. For outdoor scenes: a. Tell me what you were seeing to your left, right, in front and behind you. b. Were there any trees or buildings? If so, tell me where they were relative to you the dreamer, i.e. left, right, in front, behind, etc. c. What were you on, i.e. dirt, grass, asphalt, concrete, metal, etc. Lighting: 1. What was the lighting like in each scene? 2. Where was the light coming from? 3. If you were outside, what was the sky like? Objects: For each object in each scene please describe the following. I will use the table you were lying on as an example: 1. What was it made of? 2. How old was it? What is the style? 3. What colour was it? 4. For each object, please tell me where the object is relative to you the dreamer, i.e. left, right, in front, behind, etc. 5. Tell me about the food in the dream in as great as detail as you can recall. Also let me know where each type of food was relative to you the dreamer, i.e. left, right, in front or behind. People: For each person in your dream, please try to recall as much about him or her as you can: 1. Where were they relative to you the dreamer, i.e. left, right, in front, behind, above or below? 2. What is the age, sex and race of each person? 3. What were they wearing? What was the colour of their clothes? 4. With any where you exchanged words or thoughts PLEASE TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT THE CONVERSTATION OR THOUGHTS WERE. 5. For people who are in your life today, please tell me any differences between the dream person and the “real” person. 6. If there was any animals in your dream please tell me as much as you can recall about them including where they were relative to you the dreamer, i.e. left, right, in front, behind, etc. Thoughts/Feelings: This is a very important part of a dream. For each dream scene, please tell me the following: 1. What was your first thought/feeling when the scene began? 2. Tell me of any changes to your thoughts/feelings as the dream scene progressed. 3. Tell me your last thought/feeling as the scene ended. 4. Tell me your first thought/feeling as you awakened. Christina, there is a lot of work for you to do here. Don’t worry if you don’t recall enough for each question. What I’ve learnt from my own dreams is that nothing is in a dream by accident. Once you reply, I will happily provide an interpretation of your dream as if it was mine. With kind regards, Guy Quote:
