Hi all,
Does anyone here also have out of body experiences? For the past two nights I have had them and I am starting to get scared of sleeping now. Last night was a bit crazy, I didn't go to far because a loud like drilling noise shook me and semi woke me up but I couldn't move really felt like I was made of lead? This happened to anyone here before. Thank you, Bigmike727

Hello Bigmike727: Many years ago, when I was young, I used to think I was having out-of-body experiences. I'd lay in bed at night & feel as though my consciousness was somehow floating up around my head. Way back then, I was heavily into the paranormal. So I found it all really exciting.

Thanks for the response, I still find it interesting though how it can be that the body is asleep but still the mind is active. Interesting stuff to me, funny thing is I don't really fool around to go looking for these experiences, they end up coming to me lol.

I haven't had it happen in a while, but it used to happen when I would be chatting in chat rooms. My mind would be elsewhere, usually hovering over a local location (looking down at the world moving beneath me, and not always the same time of day), all while typing away and keeping up with convo. It was if my mind was bored, so entertaining itself, in two parts. Odd feeling, but comforting too. Hard to explain.
Can you project yourself? If I see a bird I will often imagine what it looks like to see from its perspective. |

it seems to me that the MIND is so complex, there is no way to be certain what is REAL or what is an experiential phenomenon. to me things seem real. as a child i would go 'flying' often, until i looked down and 'fell' back to my body. didn't care for that feeling much. it all stopped about puberty, but i still have fond memories~

Bigmike...What you are describing sounds a lot like sleep paralysis (The Hag) ...interesting phenomenon.

Hi,
I suggest you google the "Monroe Institute" which has been pioneering studies on OBE's for the last 30 odd years or more. With kind regards, Guy |
