My whole life I've had night terrors where I wake up panicked. As a child I would often wake up crying as well. It seemingly went away until this year. This week alone I have woken up 3 times just crying very intensely and it takes me a few minutes just to gather myself. Does anyone know what this is or what to do about it? I don't have PTSD or anything. I'm not anxious about anything. I don't feel sad or depressed. I just keep crying and can't seem to wake up happily or normal.

Quote:
In adult life the subconscious often uses negative emotions as waking elements especially when there is stress and overwork/tiredness in the life of the sleeper. The subconscious works mysteriously! sometimes when one feels on top of the world, the subconscious creates a waking dream that pulls you down a peg or two! Have you heard the saying: "got out on the wrong side of the bed"- meaning: grumpy! ![]() Don't take much notice of your dreams; they are dreamt to do a job whilst you sleep and should be forgotten on waking. |
